We depart from San Ignacio on the banks of the Macal River. We head off down the Macal River for our six hour ride. On the way down the Macal River, which eventually turns into the Belize Old River, you will receive an educational wildlife interpretation by our experienced guide.

We stop for lunch under the shade of the river’s foliage and continue our trip downstream to our campsite destination. Here we take a refreshing swim. We set up camp on the riverbank and enjoy the evening with a delicious BBQ and refreshments. There is an optional night jungle hike which highlights the amazing nocturnal habitat of the jungle. In the morning we trek to a tropical fruit garden where we  view a vast array of bird species at feeding time. 

We then head back to camp for an appetizing camp breakfast.  We pack up and emabark upon a 20 minute drive back into town, arriving in San Ignacio before noon.

Note:  No weight or age limit for this tour.  Must have sufficient mobility and strength to paddle slowly.

Things to bring:  Swimming clothes, water, snacks, day pack, insect repellant, hiking shoes.What to wear:  Comfortable clothing that you can hike in.
